Best practice

When in a hurry activate privacy mode and use the “double plus” and “double minus” buttons to quickly hide and unhide all items.

Usage instructions

  1. Activate privacy mode by clicking the fingerprint icon in the ribbon.
  2. This mode temporarily removes several distinct corporate design traits that might otherwise help third parties identify what company or client you work for.
  3. Anonymize shapes:
    • Select a shape that you want to anonymize and click on the green plus button. The shape is now temporarily blackened.
    • If you want to anonymize the full presentation, click on the double plus button. Note that this action can take a few seconds.
  4. slideRush enables efficient workflows even when privacy mode is active by introducing peek mode. Click on the magnifying glass to toggle peek mode.
    • In peek mode, slideRush will deanonymize a shape while you hover the mouse above it.
    • You can click within any textbox and make edits to the text, formatting etc. and after deselecting the shape slideRush will automatically anonymize it again.
  5. Deanonymize shapes:
    • Select a shape that you want to deanonymize and click on the red minus button. The shape is now no longer anonymized.
    • If you want to deanonymize the full presentation, click on the double minus button. Note that this action can take a few seconds.
  6. You can enable or disable privacy mode at any time. slideRush remembers which shapes were anonymized and will set their status accordingly when toggling the privacy mode on and off.
  7. When saving the presentation while privacy mode is on, slideRush will notify you that sharing the presentation to others in privacy mode is only recommended if the recipient is also using slideRush.
